After this day, tokens will no longer be accepted. Unused tokens are non-refundable. Load your fare onto a TAP card to travel across 25 participating TAP agencies.

How to Purchase a TAP Card

Buy a new TAP card ($2 card fee) or use your existing TAP card.

  • Create a TAP account and manage your TAP card online.
  • Call TAP Customer Service at 866.TAPTOGO.
  • Visit any TAP Vendor location.
  • Purchase a TAP card at a TAP vending machine (TVM) located at all Metro Rail stations, Metro Silver Line and Metro Orange Line stations, and at the El Monte station. Learn how to use your tokens at a TVM to purchase your Metro 1-Way fare.

TAP Programs Offer Special Benefits

TAP has many programs to assist individual riders and groups with special transportation needs. If you represent an organization whose members would benefit from TAP, consider these options:

Non-Profit Organizations

Non-profit organizations can sell or distribute TAP cards to their customers and receive a 3.75% discount on select fare products. To qualify as a non-profit organization, you must provide a Federal Form 501(c)(3) tax identification number.  Read More

Reduced Fares
