GTrans Child Fare Update and Line 7X to SoFi Stadium Schedule Change

The City of Gardena Transportation Department (GTrans) has recently updated its child fare program. As of July 1, 2022, all children 5 and under will be able to ride any GTrans bus for free. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. This change was implemented to better match other regional free fare programs and fill in the gap of children who were not previously eligible for free fare. In addition to this program change, GTrans will continue to offer free rides to children participating in the GoPass Program, which is available to participating K-12 schools and community colleges, and reduced for students in K-12 who are not eligible to participate in GoPass. More information about the change can be found here.

In addition to the child fare program change, GTrans has made Line 7X a permanent line within its family of services. Line 7X began as a pilot program offering rides from Harbor Gateway Transit Center to the SoFi Stadium and the City of Inglewood Sports and Entertainment District. Through this service, GTrans has had the opportunity to transport many football fans from all over the South Bay and from other states, and our local residents to the stadium and surrounding community.

As we continue to grow our service, GTrans extended the Line 7X schedule. Effective July 24, 2022, Line 7X will now be running every 30 minutes beginning at 8:30 AM. Additional services will be added to handle overcrowding during the football season. The fare for Line 7X will remain at $4 per adult and $1.40 for students, seniors and disabled individuals. We accept TAP and cash on Line 7X. The schedule can be found at RideGTrans.com. Our Green Team will be available during the football game season to assist individuals to board the bus and pay the fare.
