Things happen. You lost your TAP card. Enter Balance Protection. Your card may be gone but your unused balance is recoverable if your card is registered to your TAP account.
Your Card May Already be Protected
Some TAP cards have Balance Protection from the time of delivery:
- Reduced Fare cards (Senior, Disabled, College/Vocational or Student);
- Cards ordered online at taptogo.net;
- Cards ordered on a call with TAP Customer Service;
Report a Lost or Stolen TAP Card
Contact TAP Customer Service immediately. Request that the unused balance be transferred to a new or another registered TAP card. A $5 service fee applies to any balance transfer.
TAP will restore the unused balance of your card as of the date and time that you report it lost or stolen. The restoration is subject to a waiting period of up to three days. Please see section 7.2 of the Cardholder Agreement for details.
